Coming in May/June 2023! The course is a basic introduction to historical and current research on psychedelic substances. The course is also open to everyone. This course is Modules 1, 2 and 3 put together at a discounted price. The course is very similar to the full-day course for healthcare personnel that is offered at our offices every month, but it is open to everyone. This means that more clinically relevant topics and patient cases have been removed and are reserved for those who participate in physical attendance at the full-day course. In this course there will be a focus on classic psychedelic substances (LSD, psilocybin, mescaline and DMT). It will also be taught briefly about nearby hallucinogens such as MDMA, ketamine and newer psychoactive substances. There will be an emphasis on updating knowledge related to potential treatment effects, the psychedelic treatment model, the drugs' risk factors and adverse effects. Learning outcomes: Insight into the historical context in which these substances were researched in the early period 1930-1980.
